SAMH Program Information

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health (SAMH) Program is the single state authority on substance abuse and mental health. The program is governed by Chapters 394 and 397 of the Florida Statutes and is responsible for the oversight of a statewide system of care for the prevention, treatment, and recovery of children and adults with serious mental illnesses or substance abuse disorders.

Policy & Rule Development

SAMH rules are currently in the rule promulgation process. Access the rule history and notices published in the Florida Administrative Register (FAR), draft rule text, and agendas for workshops and hearings will be posted to this site as soon as they are available.
