Florida Mandated Reporter Course

This training aims to equip attendees with the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill their role as professionally mandated reporters and actively contribute to preventing child abuse and neglect. By the end of the session, attendees will have a comprehensive understanding of their legal obligations, the reporting process, critical thinking frameworks, and the importance of their role in protecting children's well-being.

Child Abuse and Neglect Indicators Microlearning

This learning experience will guide you through the definitions and commonly seen signs of child abuse and neglect. Before the end of the material, you will check your understanding by analyzing four scenarios for indicators of abuse or neglect. This microlearning is recommended for staff who are not familiar with or need a refresher on common indicators of child abuse and neglect.

Navigating Psychotropic Medications for Level 1 Foster Parents

The goal of this course is to equip level 1 foster parents with the knowledge needed to effectively manage psychotropic medications for children in out-of-home care. As you navigate this course, you will review the Department’s policies and operating procedures that govern the documentation, maintenance, and authorization requirements related to psychotropic medication.

Human Trafficking Awareness 101

October 2025 Updated Course Notice: This course has been substantially revised with updated content, guidance, and resources. It replaces the previous version of the course under the same name.

This one-hour course helps child welfare professionals recognize, prevent, and respond to human trafficking. Through interactive content and real-world examples, learners explore the scope of trafficking, key differences between sex and labor trafficking, and warning signs among youth in care. The training also dispels common myths and offers practical guidance on prevention, reporting, and available resources to support at-risk and victimized youth.
