First Responder Resiliency

Department of Children and Families Secretary Shevaun Harris announced the award winners of the $12 million procurement of mental health services for Florida’s first responders and their families. In December of 2021, the First Lady announced $12 million in funding to go to implementing or expanding behavioral health services, such as peer-to-peer supports, throughout the state. These services will connect first responders to a provider or fellow first responder who is trained to provide referrals, information, and counseling.

*As information and contracts are finalized more information on the individual services will be available on this page.
