TANF SAMH Program Services
Eligible TANF SAMH program services include: aftercare, assessment, case management, crisis management/emergency services, day care, in-home and on-site, incidental expenses, intensive case management, intervention, outpatient/individual and group, outreach, prevention, prevention/intervention day, residential levels 1-4, respite care, room and board with supervision, supported employment, supported housing/living, and treatment alternatives for safer communities.
How To Access
TANF services can be accessed via walk-ins/referrals to a community Substance Abuse and Mental Health (SAMH) provider or by contacting the SAMH headquarters office.
The process is initiated by the Community Substance Abuse and/or Mental Health provider who identifies that a person needs substance abuse and/or mental health services and may be eligible for those services to be paid for by TANF SAMH. Once determined eligible for SAMH TANF services, a confirmation is sent to the service provider.
