DCF Northwest Region Announces Office Closures in Advance of Tropical Storm Isaac
TALLAHASSEE - Tropical Storm Isaac is expected to continue to impact Florida as it treks northwest through Gulf of Mexico. Florida’s residents, businesses and visitors should actively monitor the storm and finalize emergency preparations. Heed all instructions from local officials and contact your local emergency management agency for details about your area.
The Department of Children and Families announces the following office closures due to Tropical Storm Isaac:
- Bay (closed Tuesday)
- Escambia (closed noon Monday, closed Tuesday)
- Santa Rosa (closed Tuesday)
- Okaloosa (closed Tuesday)
- Walton (closed Monday open Tuesday)
Office in Escambia and Okaloosa counties, along with offices in Santa Rosa and Bay counties, will be closed tomorrow. Walton County offices are now open tomorrow after a decision this evening by the local Emergency Operations Center. Essential services in all counties, including the investigation of child and adult abuse cases requiring immediate attention, will continue as normal.
