Thousands of Foster and Underprivileged Kids Receive the Gift of a Holiday Carnival
TAMPA – On Friday December 14th an idea to give back to the Tampa Bay community will become a reality at the Florida State Fairgrounds when the Miles of Smiles for Kids opens as one of the largest-ever holiday carnivals of its kind for Tampa Bay area foster, adoptive and dependent children.
Media is invited to the ribbon cutting ceremony where thousands of children served by Eckerd Community Alternatives and its neighboring Community-Based Care organizations will be as treated to miles of carnival rides, games, fair food, an open-air circus and more.
Miles of Smiles for Kids carnival hours are: Friday, December 14th from 3 pm to 8 pm; Saturday, December 15th from 1 pm to 8 pm; and Sunday, December 16th from 1 pm to 8 pm.
Miles of Smiles for Kids is sponsored by Wade Shows, Inc. in partnership with the Florida State Fair Authority, Florida Department of Children and Families and Eckerd Community Alternatives.
