Planned ACCESS Web Application Downtime to Comply with Federal Requirements
Web application will not be available through the weekend—Nov.7 to Nov. 10

TALLAHASSEE—To comply with technology guidelines directed by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) must make changes to the state’s Medicaid eligibility system. Implementing these changes requires web application system downtime from 7 p.m. EST on Nov. 7 to Nov. 10. Clients are encouraged to complete and e-sign any application started before the scheduled downtime.

This is the second phase of the Medicaid Eligibility System project implementation which successfully completed phase one in December of 2013.

DCF is using several communications channels to ensure Medicaid applicants and recipients are aware of the scheduled system downtime—website and application messages, call center hold message, social media posts, posters in all service centers statewide and emails to clients who have registered for program updates. Materials are available in English, Spanish and Creole.
