First Lady Ann Scott to Help Prevent Child Abuse Florida Launch
Inaugural Wear Blue Day at the Capitol during Child Abuse Prevention Month
TALLAHASSEE, FL - First Lady Ann Scott will be taking part in Prevent Child Abuse Florida’s annual Pinwheels for Prevention campaign for Child Abuse Prevention Month by participating in the inaugural Wear Blue Day at the Capitol on Friday, April 10, 2015 from 9-10 a.m. Prevent Child Abuse Florida will be providing a free grab-and-go breakfast on the second floor of the Capitol Rotunda and taking photos of legislators and staff, agency heads and members of the public wearing blue to show their support of child abuse prevention efforts throughout Florida. Photos will be posted to the Wear Blue Day photo album at www.facebook.com/PreventChildAbuseFlorida.
Individuals throughout Florida are invited to participate in Wear Blue Day by posting their photos to the album as well. The photo with the most “Likes” at the end of the month will receive a prize from Prevent Child Abuse Florida.
Pinwheels for Prevention is a national campaign to change the way we think about prevention by raising awareness and support for community activities and public policies that prioritize healthy child, family and community development to prevent child abuse before it ever begins.
