TALLAHASSEE, FLA. – On July 19, the DCF Office of Inspector General will undergo a rigorous on-site inspection by the Florida Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation (CFA) to assess the OIG’s compliance with specific requirements and standards as set forth by the CFA, Florida Statutes and the Principles and Standards for Offices of Inspector General.
The OIG must comply with 42 standards related to policies, procedures, management, operations and support services to retain accredited status. The DCF Office of Inspector General’s accreditation will be for three years. They previously received their initial accreditation in October 2009.
As part of the on-site assessment, agency members and the public are invited to offer comments to the assessment team.
