Feb. 9 meeting launches #SaferBy4 public awareness campaign in Broward County
BROWARD COUNTY – The Department of Children and Families, city and county leaders, police and fire-rescue directors, state agencies, healthcare advocates and community partners have joined together in an extraordinary effort aimed at reducing preventable child deaths in Broward County, nearly half of which were due to drowning and unsafe sleep last year.
The campaign’s kickoff event will provide information to leaders and officials, along with the opportunity to take the “SaferBy4” pledge in this effort. The #SaferBy4 campaign is designed to give cities, first responders and others who interact with families the additional tools and no-cost ways of providing important information to their communities, residents and clients, all in the hopes of getting children safely to their 4th birthday, when the risks are reduced.
