DCF, DJJ to Host National Faith Symposium in Orlando
'Our Children, Our Future: Strengthening Families and Communities Through Faith'

Orlando— The Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) and the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ), in partnership with the Florida Faith-Based and Community-Based Advisory Council, will host the 2015 National Faith Symposium, at the Rosen Centre in Orlando on October 13 - 14, 2015.

The event is one of the largest gatherings bringing together leaders of faith, child welfare, juvenile justice, and others from around the country to discuss ways to strengthen Florida’s children and families and set them on a path to success.

This year’s speakers include: James Towey, President of Ave Maria University, Dr. Steve Perry, Founder and Principal of Capital Preparatory Magnet School, and Pastor Jay Haizlip of the Sanctuary in Orange County and star of the popular television show Preachers of L.A. Each speaker brings a unique background and experience in demonstrating effective approaches and best practices for integrating faith-based organizations to help at-risk children. Attendees can also look forward to inspiring musical performances by gospel recording artist Anita Franklin and Anthony Williams.
