STUART – ACCESS Florida’s Treasure Coast community partner liaison with the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) has been awarded the prestigious Hope Award for her efforts in fighting hardship and hunger in Martin County.
Jeanne Bunten, DCF Circuit 19 community partner liaison for ACCESS Florida, was honored during the House of Hope’s community partner recognition luncheon today at St. Mary’s Pittenger Center in Stuart. The awards recognize individuals, agencies, businesses, neighborhoods and faith-based organizations that work with House of Hope and perform exceptional work together.
Bunten, who has been with DCF for 12 years, was commended for her continuing efforts on behalf of clients with ACCESS Florida. The program is administered by DCF and helps families and individuals with food assistance, temporary cash assistance and medical assistance when needed.
“We are incredibly proud of Jeanne and of all that she has done on behalf of our Treasure Coast region,” said DCF Southeast Regional Managing Director Dennis Miles. “Jeanne works tirelessly to assist families and individuals who need a helping hand, and her dedication and commitment are shining examples of the difference a person can make in positively impacting the lives of others in our community.”
