DCF and Safe Children Coalition Partner with Business for New Year, New Kicks Challenge

SARASOTA/BRADENTON – The Department of Children and Families and the Safe Children Coalition is partnering with Pro-Link GLOBAL, Inc., to encourage and challenge businesses and their employees to donate four pairs of children’s shoes to help foster children in exchange for four paid vacation hours to be used on New Year's Eve.

The Safe Children Coalition provides child welfare services for close to 1300 children in DeSoto, Manatee and Sarasota Counties every day. Our community’s most vulnerable children are always in need of good clothing and shoes. Tennis shoes of all sizes for children up to 18 years are always in short supply.

As of December 1, Pro-Link GLOBAL, Inc., which is a Florida based Global Corporate Immigration Firm, which has 63 employees around the globe, has collected 152 pairs of new shoes. The goal is to collect 252 new pairs of shoes for the Safe Children Coalition.

If your business or organization would like to challenge your employees to donate the four pairs shoes in exchange for four hours of paid vacation time, you can donate them directly to Safe Children Coalition. Contact Andrea Mertyris 941-371-4799 ext. 110 for more information.
