Central Service Center moved to increase service and efficiency
BROWARD COUNTY – The Department of Children and Families Economic Self-Sufficiency office located in Plantation has moved to a new facility in Sunrise.
The former Central Service Center at 311 North State Road 7 in Plantation ceased operations on Thursday. Applicants and recipients who previously visited the Plantation office should now visit the new Sunrise location at 3511 North Pine Island Road in Sunrise. The Sunrise office, which opened for business today, is located on Pine Island Road between Commercial Boulevard and Oakland Park Boulevard.
“This move will increase efficiency and provide better services to our clients,” said DCF Southeast Regional Managing Director Dennis Miles. “We look forward to serving our clients at this new location.”
DCF's Economic Self-Sufficiency office determines eligibility for federal benefits, including Medicaid and food and cash assistance. More than 95 percent of our applications come in through our website; however, we also offer local offices where people can apply in person. Applicants may apply for assistance from any computer with an Internet connection at www.myflorida.com/accessflorida. Applications are available in English, Spanish and Creole. Information on applications and benefits also can be obtained by calling 1-866-762-2237.
ACCESS clients still may visit DCF’s other Broward County site at the North Broward Regional Service Center, 1400 West Commercial Boulevard, Suite 160, in Fort Lauderdale.
