“Operation Santa Cause” Car Donation Being Presented to Deserving Family
Vehicle donation made possible due to generous contributions from community partners
PALM BEACH COUNTY — Due to the generosity of several community partners, a young mother’s “Operation Santa Cause” wish is being fulfilled through the donation of funds and a vehicle to help her and her family.
The 21-year-old woman, who has a child of her own and is a former foster child herself, adopted her own young teenage brother who had been in foster care and has been working hard to support her family. However, transportation has been a barrier for the newly reunited family, and their wish was to be able to have a vehicle to help them with work and school as they continue on their path to success.
Through the “Operation Santa Cause” campaign with the Department of Children and Families and the tremendous support of community organizations around the state, the wishes of numerous deserving families have come true.
On Tuesday, January 15, 2013, South Florida recipient Tatianna Bordes will be receiving her donated car, thanks to the kindness and support of several community organizations. Walmart generously donated $5,000 toward the vehicle, a blue 2006 Pontiac G6, which was donated by Best Foot Forward.
The presentation will take place at 12 p.m. at the Lake Worth dealership at 3531 Lake Worth Road in Lake Worth.
Media are invited to attend the presentation.
Through the “Operation Santa Cause” December 2012 statewide campaign, the wishes of 12 deserving families are being fulfilled.
