Storybook Swamp: The Alachua County Child Abuse Prevention Task Force
invites you to join the fight against child abuse by taking
part in National Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month in April .
Our annual Child Abuse Prevention event this year is called “Storybook Swamp” and will be held on April 4th from 10am-12pm at the YMCA.
This event includes more than 30 local child-focused agencies and businesses. This free and family-friendly celebration focuses on the importance of fostering a love for reading and learning how to keep our children safe. The event offers information on topics such as safe sleep, water safety, car safety and choosing childcare providers wisely. There will be storytelling, free books for children, along with games and activities with a storybook theme.
