ACCESS Florida Rule Hearing: SSI-Related Medicaid Post Eligibility Treatment of Income

Proposed Rule 65A-1.7141, F.A.C., is aligning policy with the Medicaid State Plan by amending the uncovered medical expense deduction policy and adding an additional personal needs allowance. The Department is also adding the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly, the Cystic Fibrosis, IBudget Florida and Statewide Medicaid Managed Care Long-Term Care waivers and their deduction policies. These policies are used to determine an individual’s cost of care paid to nursing facilities and waiver providers in the post eligibility determination process.

Monroe County Community Alliance Meeting

The public are invited to attend the Community Alliance Meetings. The purpose of the Community Alliance is to design, strengthen, and advocate for a cohesive delivery system of care that will ensure the safety, well-being, and self-sufficiency of the people served by the Department of Children and Family Services and other local providers in a manner that is family centered, community based, integrated, outcome oriented, culturally competent, and timely in its responses with an emphasis on prevention and intervention.

Public Hearings - Summer Camp Program Standards

The Department of Children and Family Services, Office of Child Care Regulation and Background Screening will be conducting two public hearings for Chapter 65C-39, F.A.C.  This new chapter of rule is titled "Summer Camp Program Standards."  The is an opportunity for the Department to receive comments from providers, community partners, coalition staff, stakeholders, and the general public related to the proposed rule language.  Please share this information with those agencies, providers, and provider organizations in your area that have an interest/investment in this issue.

ACCESS Florida Rule Workshop: Family-Related Medicaid

Proposed Rules 65A-1.205, 65A-1.701, 65A-1.702, 65A-1.703, 65A-1.705, 65A-1.716, F.A.C., revise the Family-Related Medicaid eligibility policies, procedures and forms used to implement the Florida Family-Related Medicaid Program so that the requirements of the Affordable Care Act that govern the Florida Family-Related Medicaid coverage groups are met. If requested in writing and not deemed unnecessary by the agency head, a rule development workshop will be held at the date, time and place shown above.
