Homelessness Continuum of Care / Veterans Committee Conference Call Meeting

GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: CONTINUUM OF CARE COMMITTEE: This conference call will address the committees’ continued development of policy recommendations and work tasks to address the Council’s Annual Report on recommendations from continuum of care lead agencies to end homelessness in Florida. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office on Violence Against Women (OVW), STOP Grant Statewide Meeting

Every three years, as the designated agent of funding for the Department of Justice (DOJ), Office on Violence Against Women (OVW), STOP Grant - (Services, Training, Officers and Prosecutors), requires the Department of Children and Families, Office of Child Welfare, to compile input from law enforcement, prosecution, judicial, Native American tribal organizations, and non-profit victim service providers in order to develop a service array that will meet the needs of professionals working with victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, stalking and dating violence.

Orlando Area Refugee Task Force Meeting

The purpose of this meeting is to increase awareness of the refugee populations, share best practices, spot trends in refugee populations, build collaborations between agencies, help create good communication among service providers, get informed about upcoming community events, and discuss refugee program service needs and possible solutions to meeting those needs.
