On March 26, Governor Rick Scott signed Executive Order 18-81, directing the Department of Children and Families to enhance collaboration with law enforcement offices in each Florida county to improve the coordination of behavioral health services for individuals in need. DCF’s Regional Managing Directors for each of the six regions have taken the lead to convene regional meetings to achieve the objectives of the Executive Order. Meetings will be held by circuit to ensure maximum participation and optimum coordination.
DESCRIPTION: The public are invited to attend Community Alliance Meetings which include the subcommittees for Substance Abuse/Mental Health and CAPP Local Task Force. The purpose of the Community Alliance is to strengthen and advocate for a cohesive system of care that will ensure child safety and well-being in a manner that is family centered, community based, outcome oriented, culturally competent, timely in its responses and accountable.
