Cone Park Library

Join the Cone Park Branch Library for special storytime events to celebrate Black History Month each Wednesday in February. African American authors, illustrators and themes will be shared along with other stories, fingerplays, songs, and crafts. For accompanied children 5 & younger.
Storytime is held on Wednesday mornings at 10:00 am.

Tampa 2014 World Refugee Day Commemoration

The theme for the event is The Journey and interactive educational displays will be set up to depict the refugee experience including a replica of refugee camp. In addition, there will be a cultural festival with displays from Iraq, Former Burma, Cuba, Ethiopia, Iran and many other countries. The program will include live music, dancing, a cultural fashion show and an original reading of a poem written for World Refugee Day by James Tokley, the Hillsborough County Poet Laureate.
