World Refugee Day - Tampa

The two-part event will begin with a Community Conversation, bringing together refugee students and parents along with school administrators and social workers to address how can we foster stronger communication between refugee service providers and school district staff and how can we create a more welcoming environment for newly arrived refugees. The events of the day will conclude with a celebration and resource fair for workshop attendees and refugee families featuring a cultural fashion show, live music and food. 

World Elder Abuse Awareness Day - Tampa

In recognition of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, the 13th Judicial Circuit's Elder Justice Center will be hosting a screening of An Age for Justice: Confronting Elder Abuse in America.

An Age for Justice is a short documentary that brings you into the homes of courageous American elders, to hear their poignant and real stories about the abuse, neglect, and exploitation they have experienced.
