Partnering for Change

Children’s Legal Services is a driving force behind building collaborative working relationships to make positive change happen for children and families.

In 2009, Children’s Legal Services formed a working partnership with Casey Family Programs, a national operating foundation based in Seattle, Washington.

Casey Family Programs has been working with public child welfare agencies, as well as a number of private providers, to safely reduce the number of children in foster care by half by the year 2020.

Florida has taken on a more ambitious agenda, setting a goal of safely reducing the number of children in foster care to that same number by the year 2012.
